EXCELS PLUS is the strategic plan for school improvement and accreditation of the Omaha Public Schools. Closely aligned with the Aims of the District's Mission Statement, the EXCELS PLUS process is designed to help schools to:

               1. Improve Student Achievement (Aim 1, High Student Achievement)

               2. Promote a Safe and Secure Learning Environment (Aim 2, Safe and
                   Secure Learning Environment)

               3. Meet Nebraska State Certification and North Central
                   Association-Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement 
                   (NCA-CASI) Requirements.

McMillan Magnet Center's school wide learning goals are:

All students will increase reading comprehension across the curriculum.

All students will improve problem-solving skills across the curriculum.

All students will improve scientific inquiry skills across the curriculum.
