African American History Club
Tuesdays from 2:55 - 4:30 in the Library
The African American History Challenge Club is in it's 9th year. Students from both middle school and high school are invited to participate in the challenge.
"The African American History Challenge is a program of the 100 Black Men of the Omaha, Inc., in partnership with the Omaha Public School District, and supported by Omaha area corporations, universities, and colleges. The purpose of the program is to spark healthy competition among schools, while installing a sense of pride and appreciation in Omaha youth for the rich legacy left to them by previous generations."
Lecture and study sessions are scheduled at UNO on Saturdays. Parents are responsible for getting their children to UNO at the designated time.
