On February 17th Heather Brewer, author of the young adult series "The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod", visited Lewis and Clark Middle School. Ms. Brewer talked about how she found refuge in the library and how she found acceptance and friendship from the librarians there. She decided to follow a dream that everyone, except her husband, said that she could not attain, and she became a published author. The students were enthralled with her story as well as her books. After her presentaion, Mrs. Brewer graciously signed everything from shirts to shoes to pants to phones - and her books too of course! The author visit was arranged by Ellen Scott at the Bookworm bookstore and our Trailblazer librarian, Lora Leibrandt.
