Learning languages - Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Mistakes are expected and encouraged because they are precursors to true learning. Each student should be respectful of each other and work together to make this a positive learning environment. Do not be afraid to express yourself, be enthusiastic, have a good sense of humor and relax! Spanish is a difficult but fun and interesting language and it will give you an opportunity to expand your cultural horizons.

Hola. I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Jessica Navarro Gonzalez. I am the 8th grade Spanish teacher at King Science.  I was born in Spain, Tenerife. I finished my degree andMasters in English Philology in 2001. I specialize in teaching foreign languages like Spanish, English and French.

I taught English for 2 years in a high school level in Spain. I moved to London and started teaching Spanish as a foreign language in a private high school. In 2003,  I became involved in a program to teach Spanish in United States.  I applied for the program and I was selected to teach in Omaha, Nebraska.

I have been teaching at King Science for 6 years. I started in the year 2004 - 2005. Every year has been a great experience and an interesting learning process of a new culture and a new school system.

Sincerely,

Jessica Navarro Gonzalez
