September 10th & 11th

  1. Today you are taking a test over the format Unit.
  2. Once you are done with the test, please make sure that you have copied the notes from September 8th or 9th into your agenda
  3. Remember to use the Command Keys and the Function keys as much as possible in your daily work.
  4. If you have not finished layer A, B or C, continue to work on those until the bell rings.
  5. If you have finished all three, check your review folder for any corrections that can be made.
  6. If there are no corrections, You can play the typing games in Mavis Beacon, or go to www.typingtest.com and work at that site.

Next class you will be introduced to Excel

September 8th & 9th

 

Write the following notes in your agenda:

These are function keys that are located at the top of your keyboard:

F1  Undo the last action
F2  Cut text or graphics
F3  Copy text or graphics
F4  Paste the Clipboard contents
F7  Choose the Spelling and Grammar command (Tools menu)
F12  Choose the Save As command (File menu)
Shift +F7 Thesaurus

Portrait view vs. Landscapte view - look at the pictures on the board

Did you know that if you double click on a word, it selects the word?   Try it.

Continue to work on Layer A, B or C - they are due today.

 

Note:
For Layer B & A make sure that your paragraphs that you:

Include a header with your name and identify the assignment.    

  • Double-space your document
  • Center your title and bold
  • Tab the first line of each paragraph    
  • A 7th grade paragraph is 5 – 6 sentences.
  • Spell check
  • Reference the website(s) where you got your information

   
If you need to make some changes to your document and turn it in again, please take the time today to do so.



 

September 3rd & 4th
 

 

  1. I will pass out assignment sheets today letting you know what I have seen and how many points you still need for Layer C
  2. Please help me out by asking your neighbor for help before asking me
  3. I will come around and check assignments again today
  4. I have not been able to place anything in your review folder at this time.  I am still working with Tech support to make this happen.
  5. If you are done with Layer C, you are working on Layer B and A.
  6. You will turn Layer B and A into the hand in folder.
  7. If you have time, please check with your classmates to see if anyone else needs help.

 

Note:

    Command W = Close window
    Command Q = Quit program
    Command + shift +Q = log out
    Command P = Print

At this point in time, you should be finished or close to finishing Layer C. I will be checking assignments today.

The Rubric for Ms. Prem's assignment is under the document sections
Layer B & A are turned into the hand in folder.
Remember that we need to whisper, not talk at full volume due to the size of the class.
Next class:

You will continue to work on Layer A & B (if you have finished C)
