Excel Test: Remember, if you are talking during the test, you will receive a 0 and will need to schedule a time after school to make it up.

  1. Open the Excel test document in the document section to the left.
  2. You will also need the Excel Test Workbook file.
  3. Read each question carefully and select the best answer.
  4. Save the completed test to the hand in folder as <last name><1st initial> excel test
  5. Save the excel spreadsheet to the handin folder as <last name><1st initial> excel test.
  6. Since the files have different file extensions (.doc & .xls), you should not have a problem saving the files.

When you are done, you will open the story start document in the download section.

Pick one of the story starters and open a blank WORD document.

Type the story starter and then continue the story.

You will be graded on the following:

 

  •     Length of the story (At least 2 full pages)
  •     Creativity
  •     12-point font
  •     Double-spaced
  •     A title that creative and centered
  •     Header with your name and the date
  •     One piece of clip art inserted into the document.
  •     Save as your <last name><1st initial> story to the handin folder.

Next class you will be working in the word document unit.

  1. Go to www.brainpop.com/technology/computersandinternet/computerhistory/preview.weml and login into Brain Pop using the login Username: kingscience, Password: 1999
  2. Complete the quiz at the end, make sure your name is on it and then print.

Open a new workbook and save it as <Last name><1st initial>092909.  Complete Excel It! activity #6.

II.  Layer B (5 point): Complete both activities

Open the Power Point Worksheet document.

Complete the worksheet as you review the PowerPoint.  Save the worksheet as your <last name><1st initial> answers and turn into the handin folder


II.  Layer C, part II (20 point): Complete both activities

  1. Open the Animals (10-2 Project 2) workbook that is located in the documents section and save it to your Excel folder as your <last name><1st initial> 092209

  2. Read pages 372 – 374 to complete and format the spreadsheet in the Keyboarding Connections textbook.


III.  Layer B (5 point): Complete both activities

  1. On spreadsheet 2 of your Excel Workbook, read the directions on pages 375 – 377 and complete and format the spreadsheet in the Keyboarding Connections textbook.

  2. On spreadsheet 3, type the answers to the Check for Understanding on page 378 in the Keyboarding Connections textbook

  2. Open you Keyboarding Connections textbook and follow the directions on page 362 to 367.

  1. Check for Understanding on page 368 in the Keyboarding Connections.  Please type your answers using complete sentences, which paraphrase the question
