Book Fair 2009
Minimize

This the first notice about the upcoming book fair in October.  The dates are Oct. 26 to Nov. 4. There are a combination of afterschool times and the long event day on Oct. 29, the day of Student Led Conferences.  For more details, please see the site: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/publish/kingscience.

We will use a Student Crew again this fall. Applications will be put in the library for student pick-up and given to Language Arts and Reading teachers for distribution. The students always have really good ideas that help us to reach our goals. We expect the same great results this fall.

Our goal is $2500. If we sell, $2500 in books, we will get $1250 in book profit. The profit will be used for the May book distribution to each KSTM student to build their personal library and give them something different to read over the summer.

We will also promote One for Books. For every $1 donated to our book fair, Scholastic donates one book to a youth literacy organization and that $1 counts towards our total sales. It is a true win/win opportunity.

You can sign up to volunteer from the site: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/publish/kingscience. Please share with others.

Thanks for your support!
