| Monday, March 15th and Tuesday, March 16th - Monday, March 15, 2010ALL BLOCKS: Great job to all students during the CAT week. I appreciate your hard work. We are doing a mini-literature circle this week out of the textbooks. Students are reading "All Summer in a Day" pg. 102, and "Suzy and Leah" pg. 114. We will be reading the stories one at a time and doing discussion groups (PSQC) through to the end of the week. After Spring Break we'll begin our independent novel studies.

Read and review the background sheet about Anne Frank and research the following terms/words: Anne Frank, Holocaust, Nazi, Otto Frank, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Gestapo, Bergen-Belsen, Typhus.

| CAT this week! - Monday, March 08, 2010Good Morning!
California Achievement Testing will be taking place at Buffett this week, and teachers are asking all students to stay positive, keep rested, and try their best! Mr. Pentland's bobcat block class (8A) will be testing in Cottage 6 for the week, culminating in the Test of Cognitive Skills on Friday morning. Students who are absent during CAT this week will make up portions missed the following week.

California Achievement Testing will be taking place at Buffett this week, and teachers are asking all students to stay positive, keep rested, and try their best!
