The purpose of 7th Grade Broadcasting, is to give the students a general understanding of TV communication and also to build the skills they will need if they want to be part of the BBTV program next year as 8th graders.

In the first part of the semester, we do a brief overview of Communication history, TV Ratings and also techniques that advertising use in their commercials to entice us to buy their products.

We then use the rest of the semester, to develop their skills in the iLife suite of programs - iPhoto, Garageband and iMovie. We also will learn how to use the digital video cameras in the classroom. After those skills have been developed the students will have some projects to do that will demonstrate their skills using the cameras, computers and programs.
