Get Fit By Robyn Lensch
You watchin' the tube just channel surfing and stuffin your face with greasy burger king
You sittin on the couch and you goin nowhere so you better get fit and jump up in the air
GET FIT AND DON'T QUIT, STOP WATCHIN TV AND YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN
GET FIT, YOU GET IT? YOUR LIFE IS ON THE LINE AND YOU'RE RUNNIN OUT OF TIME
SO GET FIT!
In my PE class, my motto is "get fit". I do a variety of activities such as badminton, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, flag football and various indoor and outdoor games. Just like adults, young people want to enjoy their workout, so I try to make it fun for everyone. Participation is an important part of PE which is why we incorporate it into our grading. Each day a student receives 10 point: 5 for participation, 2 for being prepared with the proper PE clothes, 2 for demonstrating good sportsmanship, teamwork and cooperation, and 1 for being on time (7th and 8th grade students are allowed 5 minutes to change into their clothes for PE, 5th and 6th have 3 minutes to get into the gym since they do not dress out). I hope your student enjoys being in my class and looks forward to PE every week!
