6B Math Announcements/ Reminders

Welcome to the 6B Math website.  Be sure to check for updates on the latest homework assignments, math tips, current content, upcoming projects, and important messages.

Friendly reminder for all students: be sure to bring loose leaf paper or an extra spiral notebook so you have a fresh supply of paper for homework. Many students are kindly sharing, but they may be getting tired of furnishing materials for others.

Content Standards

6 B Math-upcoming content

It's 2nd Quarter already!!   Math 6 students should be practicing their basic multiplication facts. Get out those flash cards. We are almost done with Multiplication basic facts testing ( 5-minutes timed tests) digits 0-9. We need to get at least 90% of those correct.

We are working on Content Standard 603 "Measurement." Be sure to study the basic measurement ratios: 1:4 gallons to quarts,   1: 12 (feet to inches), 1:16 pounds to ounces, 1: 10 ( cm to millimeters), 1: 100 meter to centimeters.  Pre-Algebra just finished content from PA-04.   Be sure to brush up on the different rules for integers: adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing.
