Welcome to All Star City Discovery Zone

Sixth  graders   are close to completing the Rocks and soils unit. Students will be finishing up the Criterion Reference Testing. We will also be participating in "project time!" Projects are a group oral presentation, a partner power point and a personal written essay. This activityis for  our Extra Value Standard.    In December thru February, sixth graders will be working with magnets and motors, making circuits both parallel and series, and making a spinning coil motor.  

The Calendar Math section of the Discovery zone for the November and December will still have our daily depositor that students will count out, write in expanded form, and written form. Students will discover how to take a percentage of the total daily depositor.  An algebraic equation is solved daily  and quadrilateral  and their traits will be test. This is done every class time during our warm up.
