The Douglas County Health Department, in partnership with the Visiting Nurse's Association, will offer their H1N1 flu vaccine free of charge to all Douglas County school age children.  The H1N1 flue vaccine is not mandatory, but available to those interested in receiving it.  The immunization clinic for students attending Buffett will be held Tuesday, November 10th, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm at Burke High School (12200 Burke Blvd).  For more information, please click here.  To download the consent form, which must be signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to receiving the vaccine, click here.

Pennies for Peace
7th grade students are currently taking part in the Pennies for Peace program.  They will be collecting money from September 21st through December 11th.  All money collected will be donated to the Central Asia Institute to build schools and buy supplies for students in Pakistan and Afghanistan.  Click here to learn more about Pennies for Peace.
