Ms. Pedersen Teaches Language Arts on 7C

Language Arts is the study of all things Language related. It deals with Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Editing, which are all parts of Language. We focus on Writing especially because the 7th graders will have to take the State Writing Assessment in 8th grade. I want them to be ready!
Content Standards
1. Read and comprehend a variety of selections.
2. Produce a descriptive writing sample on demand.
3. Revise a piece of writing, chosen from a variety of samples.
4. Use speaking skills for presentation with appropiate consideration for the audience.
5. Apply listening skills for various purposes.
6. Demonstrate how people of varying culture share universal experiences.
