The OPS Department of Gifted and Talented Education sponsors a seventh and eighth grade leadership team in all middle schools. There are 11 leadership teams, per grade, in the District.
Students who have exhibited skills of leadership are nominated by their teachers, counselors and administrators to serve as leaders of the school and become involved in activities which develop the skills of leadership. Members of this working group that stay intact for both years of middle school.
