7th Grade Social Studies Content Standards
701-Culture: Identify and describe the elements of culture the factors that shape it, and their influences on society. See the grading rubric in the course documents to the right.
702-History/Geography: Identify and explain the importance of major events, key concepts, and significant contributions of groups and individuals related to selected themes throughout history. This content standard is divided between the four regions we study. Each region has a 25 question CRT with the combined score indicating mastery level (shown below).
Total score indicates: BG=1-38, PG=39-60, PF= 61-92,
or AD= 93-100
703-Economics: Identify and explain basic economic concepts and explain the influence of economic decision making on societies past and present. Mastery level is determined by the number correct on the 20 question CRT.
Total score indicates: Beg.1-6, Prog.7-9, Prof. 10-14, or Adv. 15-20
704-Citizenship/Government: Describe the structure and function of government, the expanding role and responsibilities of the citizen in a representative democracy, and compare and contrast these elements with those in other societies. See the grading rubric in the course documents to the right.
