This year we will be focusing on a mural to showcase the cultural diversity of our Bryan Middle School Community.

Art Club Dates:

October 21st- We will be making Yarn Sculptures

November 4th- We will be making things out of Magazine Paper

November 18th- We will be making Color Books to draw in

December 2nd & 16th

January 13th & 27th

February 10th & 24th

March 10th & 31st

April 14th & 28th

Club Description:

               Art Club is for any 7th or 8th grader who loves art. It is a great opportunity to expand your creativity beyond what you will learn in the classroom. There will be various projects and activities throughout the year. It is also a great way to make friends with other students that are passionate about art.

Expectations:

You must...

- Be passing all classes

- Have an activity card ($15) or a waiver on file

- Attend at least 5 meetings to be considered a member

- Have a transportation arranged for 4:20 prior to the meeting (bus is available for students that receive bus transportation to and from school each day)

- Be on time to the meetings

Mrs. Buckley

       "My name is Ms. Buckley and I have been teaching Art at Bryan Middle School since 2002. I am originally from Omaha, graduating from North High School in 1997. I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney from 1997-1998, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1998-2001. A UNO I earned a Bachelors Degree in K-12 Art Education. In my free time I enjoy making jewelry, gardening, painting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

        The Art Club has been ongoing throughout the years at Bryan Middle. I became the club sponsor in 2007. We have done a variety of projects including a Bear Pride Mural, stage decorations for the Drama Production, and various display cases within the school. Art Club is a great opportunity to socialize with other Art enthusiasts and be creative in ways not possible in a regular Art Class." -Ms. Buckley
