Student Council's Events Throughout The Year
Freshmen Orientation Day August 17, 2009
Husky Pals are chosen Northwest students who act as guides, friends, and role models to the first-year freshmen. Husky Pals are interested in ensuring that freshmen have a successful academic and extra-curricular experience during their first year at Omaha Northwest High School. The Husky Pal serves as a guide for incoming freshmen students, offering benefits such as:
- A supportive school relationship with a friendly face and kind words of encouragement
- Answers and resources for questions and concerns about school
- A resource for Northwest clubs, activities, and extra-curricular events
- Check with the freshmen at progress reports and offer study tips and peer tutoring
- Help the incoming freshmen transition from middle school to high school
