The Alumni Booster Club was formed in the spring of 1987 to lend its support to North High School in reestablishing itself as one of the most prominent schools in the state and Midwest.

The 1967 Metro & state champion North High School teams were recognized before the football game on October 13th. The 1967 team is the last team in almost forty years to go undefeated. In connection with this event, a golf event was held on Saturday, October 14th with a tee time of 9:00 AM at the Benson Golf Course. There was also a gathering of friends at the Viking Ship (formerly the old Birchwood Club).
