29 & Feb 1 State Writing Tests will be given on January 29 and February 1st.  It is even more important for all students to be in attendance on those days.

17 Congratulations to Taylor Armstrong, Kris Martin, and Chance Smith for being chosen to represent Omaha North High Magnet School in Youth Leadership Omaha, a program through Creighton University and the AIM Institute

Second semester grade level assemblies will be held  in the auditorium according to this schedule:

12 The North High student council will host the a North High Middle School Leadership Workshop for area middle school student councils on Saturday, January 12 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  For information, please contact Ms. Rachel Beck (click for contact information)
11 New Student Orientation will be held at 5:00 PM on January 11, 2008.  Students new to North are expected to attend this informational session.
11 There is no school on January 11, 2008 due to semester break. School resumes on January 14, 2008.
9 & 10
Final Exams will be held on January 9 & 10, 2008.

7 LeeAnn Vaughan, a science teacher at Omaha North High Magnet School, is one of three state finalists for the 2007 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching. [More Info]

The December, 2007 edition of the North High News is now available online.
 2 The school sign erected in 1983 with the "balloon" North logo has been replaced with a state-of-the-art sign with messaging capabilities.  Located on the North side of the building in approximately the same location of the previous sign, the new marquee will allow for increased communication with the community while also reflecting the logo adopted last school year.
