27-29 The Annual North High Holiday Basketball Tournament for 9th-graders takes place from December 27 - 29, 2007 at North.
22 Winter Break begins today, the 22nd and continues until school reopens on January 7, 2008
21 The Media Center is holding a Fine Free Friday on December 21. Return overdue books without incurring a fine.  Sorry, but this offer applies only to overdue books and is not applicable to any outstanding balances.
20 Principals and representatives from the OPS Magnet Schools meet at North on Thursday, December 20th in the Lecture Hall.

NO CONFLICTS ARE ACCEPTABLE January 14th- January 25th: this includes work or sports!!!)

Performances:
Wednesday- Friday January 23rd-25th, at 7:00pm
(Cast and Crew call is 6pm)Whole cast and crew stays to STRIKE set until 11pm on Friday, January 25th.

14 Congratulations to Marie Harris  - Girls (Swim) and Enoch Pugh - (Boys Basketball) for being chosen as the January 2008 Student Athletes of the Month.
12 Students from Alice Buffett Magnet Middle School visit our Journalism program.
11 On snowdays and other days that interrupt the normal school day, changes in athletic events will be updated in the Master Calendar of Events link in the OMAHA EVENTS section of our home page.
10 The 2nd Annual Professional Development Conservatory, scheduled December 14th & 15th has been canceled.
10 Students from Alice Buffett Magnet Middle School visit our Information Technology, Engineering Technology and Bio-Technology programs.

POSTPONED UNTIL SOMETIME IN 2008

 

North's Got Talent talent show
December 7, 2007 in the auditorium. 

Audition sheets (required for audition) can be picked up in the Cafeteria, Viking Center or Room 129. 

Auditions fee is $5 for a single and $5 base fee for groups plus $1 for each member. 

Auditions will be held on Thursday, December 6th at 3:00 PM.

Show North what you've got!
Dancing, Acting, Rapping, Juggling, Anything!

You could win a $50 gift card and be seen by college scouts!

6 The winter sports Pep Rally will be held on December 5, 2007 in the MPC starting at 2:00 PM. - CANCELED DUE TO THE WEATHER
4 Students from McMillan Mathematics, Technology and Communication Arts magnet will be visiting North today.
3 Representatives from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska will meet with North High staff  at 1:30 PM to discuss the programs available at North High.  Included in the discussion will be a tour of the building.

 Freshmen wil attend one of three presentations of "Jordan's Story," a performance addressing teen date violence.  Performances will be held on December 3 (11:30 AM) and December 4 (11:30 AM and 1:50 PM) in the auditorium.  Presented by R.E.S.P.E.C.T., it is funded by a number of local organizations and corporations.

 1 The December 1 home varsity basketball games WILL be played at 4 & 6 PM.
