The cheerleaders, university seminar students, and the football team are trying to raise funds for the MDA (Jerry's Kids). You will see footballs in the main entry from those that have bought footballs. You can purchase a football for $1.00 from a cheerleader, Mr. Bartels, Mrs. Shayna Franks, Mrs. Geiger, or Mrs. Michelle Franks. The contest runs through Thursday, October 1. We are in a contest with Burke to see which school can raise the most money for MDA.

The Omaha North High Magnet School music department presents its Winter Concert on Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.
On October 17th, 19th, & 20th Omaha North High Magnet School Engineering Students joined The University of Nebraska at Omaha's Service Learning Academy for their annual 3 Days of Service Fall Project. Throughout the three days around 75 North students made an hour bus ride to Macedonia, IA to work at Santa's Children Christmas Village. The kids did different kinds of work including painting, cleaning, decorating and organizing. The project was a great success as the students made significant improvements in the appearance of the facility. The Engineering Students will be participating in the 7 Days of Service Spring Project in March 2010.
Student Council is sponsoring Breast Cancer Awareness Week during the week of October 19 - 23. Numerous items are for sale in the Viking Center during lunch (t-shirts, bracelets, keychains) AND the student council wll be collecting donations during A1 on Friday, 10/23. Please help us raise money to support Breast Cancer research.
DECA has announced its officers for the 2009 - 2010 school year.
Audition materials for the spring play, Alice in Wonderland are now available. Auditions will be held on December 10, 2009.
