Due to the field conditions at Kinnick Field and the amount of rain received in the last few days, the varsity football game between Omaha North and Omaha Burke will be played at the football stadium at Omaha Central.  The kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  Parking will be extremely tight due to evening events at Central and our football game.

18 Leadership Omaha will be meeting at North on Thursday 10/18.  This is a community partnership pairing 50 North High Students with 50 community business leaders.
18  We are planning a fund raising activity during our home football game with Burke High School on 10/18/07.  During the half time of the game our cheerleading team and student council will go throughout the stadium taking monetary gifts to help the family of Eric Lofton (injured football player at Omaha Northwest).  This money will be sent to the family through Mid City Bank.
18 Today is National Coaches Day, a day to thank coaches for the many hours of hard work and dedication to developing the student athlete.  Thanks coaches!
13-18 Celebrate Teen Read Week!   The North High Library just received 53 boxes of new books.  They are on display throughout the library.  Removable tattoos with the theme are also available in the library.  See the flyer for more information.
10 WOWT's Malorie Maddox and photojournalist Nathan Jack were here for nearly 3 hours today to gather video footage of our school and students in action.  The piece will air on Friday, 10/19, as well as will be available on the WOWT web channel with addtional "outtakes"  including students who did not make the TV version.
1  There is no school for students on October 1, 2007 so that staff can attend Curriculum Day activities.
