30:The Student Opportunities for Success program at North was recently featured in an Omaha World-Herald article.

26: Freshmen taking Honors English 1-2 have a summer reading assignment. This assignment will be available for pickup at Early Registration on August 2nd from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Please see Ms. Reed at the "SIP page station" for your copy of the book, "Illustrated Man" and a letter from the English Curriculum Specialists. Please call the main office at 557-3400 if you have any questions.

20: Thanks to a community donation, the current electronic sign that sits on Ames Avenue will be replaced by a new, modern message board with the capability of displaying multiple information messages. Installation is expected by September 1, 2007. In the graphic, the box displaying North High School will be able to display multiple lines of text and/or animations.

01: One of the three summer technology programs offered to metro elementary students was featured on alocal television station. The piece highlighted the positive and safe use of rockets in the days leading up to the July 4th holiday celebration. Rocketry is one part of the Grade 6 Summer Technology camp. Mr. Walters, North High physics teacher, was featured.
