Block Scheduling

We initiated the change to alternating day block scheduling in 1996. It has proven to be very successful. We are continuously evaluating and updating our system.

Students spend 90 minutes in four classes on an "A" or "B" day. The class periods meeting on an "A" day are 1, 3, 5, & 7; and for a "B" day are 2, 4, 6, & 8. Students earn credits in the traditional method, one credit per class per eighteen weeks.

The block scheduling approach gives each individual and instructor opportunity to become creative, innovative, inventiveimaginative and productive with less stress and more time to accomplish curriculum goals.
