1/30	Omaha North Students Recognized by the Nebraska Unicameral- In honor of their volunteer work at the Omaha Public Library, Washington Branch, John Xiong (9th grader) and Vickie Xiong (10th grader) will be recognized February 14 at Library Legislative Day in Lincoln. Awardees from across the state, recognized for their volunteer work at public libraries, will be presented to the state legislature and attend a luncheon with state senators.
1/29	Congratulations to the North High math team for an excellent job at the Brownell-Talbot math contest on Saturday. In quiz bowl, the team of Corey Stone, Tyler Borcyk and Ben McGill took first place. In the individual competition, Tyler Borcyk was the first place junior and second place overall, Ben McGill was the second place senior and eighth place overall, and Corey Stone was the fourth place senior. Overall, the team was in third place. Other team members that contributed to the team score were Kayce Rich, Lucas Thode, and Eric Norrgard.
1/24	Congratulations to Shaelyn Dokmonovich who signed her letter of intent to attend Dana College on a softball scholarship.
1/15	Congratulations to the North High Academic Decathlon team for placing 2nd in the Regionals over the weekend. Members included Alex Kassun, Bret Harbin, Margaret Garnett, Ben Wagner, Kayce Rich, Joseph David, Mathias Hake, Corey Stone, Eric Norrgard, Carly Goodman, Andy Rogers and Casey Griffin.
