STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
COUNSELOR OF THE DAY: The Counselor of the Day is Ms. Pfeiffer.
HANDBOOK REMINDER: Printed wording or pictures on clothing that advertises or promotes alcohol or drugs or carries derogatory connotations, etc. is prohibited. Buff page 21 under dress and personal appearance #5.
TEEN CENTER: THE TEEN CENTER IS CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30.
LUNCH (TODAY): Smoked turkey melt, chicken fajitas, country boy, green beans, potato gems, peaches, chef salad, combination salad, gelatin, peanut butter & jelly sandwich, cheese sandwich, yogurt, juice and milk.
BREAKFAST (TOMORROW): Blueberry whole wheat breakfast cake or oatmeal or cereal or yogurt and graham crackers, juice and milk.
PEEPS: Join us in the North Café after school on Mondays for a nutritious snack and Wednesdays for a bag of hot popcorn while you complete your homework. PEEPS is also available on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:30 a.m. in the North Café.
SATURDAY TUTORING AVAILABLE: The Burke Library will be open from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturdays and teachers are available to tutor or to help with assigned work. Students who have studying to do are encouraged to come. Students who need to use the MAT bus should see Mrs. Walker for a bus ticket /pass.
ASSET OF THE DAY: I’ll put money in perspective. Asset #39: Sense of Purpose.
TODAY’S RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS: Donate clothes or food to a charity.
FOOTBALL BANQUET: All football players are reminded to mail in their banquet forms to Mrs. Lucido ASAP. If you need a flyer see Coach Limongi.
PROJECT PEACE: Project Peace members, please wear your Project Peace t-shirts tomorrow. Project Peace will be selling “NO PLACE FOR HATE” buttons tomorrow during lunch for 25 cents. NO MEETING TOMORROW.
FEA: FEA bowling social after school TODAY – need details? Talk to Mrs. Burkhart or Mrs. Jager. NO FEA MEETING TOMORROW.
WRITING CLUB: Writing Club will meet in room 106 TOMORROW at 3:00 p.m. Remember to read and comment on the writing for this week.
ATTENTION STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE CULINARY TEAM: There will be a MANDATORY meeting for anyone interested in being on the Culinary Team TOMORROW at 7:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. in room 256. See Mrs. Flint with questions.
BASEBALL: Baseball will begin its offseason weight and conditioning program on Monday, November 30, at 3:00 p.m. Any player not currently involved in a winter sport may attend. Report to the weight room area.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD: There will be a Boys Track & Field meeting for those boys not out for a winter sport on Wednesday, December 2, at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Cafeteria. See Coach Mingo if you have questions.
RIDE NEEDED: A student living in the Westin Hills area (152 St. & Fort) needs a ride to and from school. If you are interested in helping, see Mrs. Walker.
