Throughout its history, the Bryan Band has received many accolades. At the Nebraska State Marching Contest, the band received seven consecutive "Excellent" ratings and ratings of "Excellent" at the NSAA District II Music Contest. The Bryan Band received their first "Superior" rating at the 2006 NSAA District II Music Contest.
The Bryan Band has performed throughout the Midwest. Recently, the band performed at the Music in the Parks festival in Chicago, IL (2008) receiving a rating of "Superior" placing 2nd. The Band has also toured Denver, CO (2006) receiving a rating of "Excellent" placing 3rd, Chicago , IL (2004) receiving a rating of "Excellent" placing 2nd, Minneapolis, MN (2000) receiving a rating of "Superior" placing 1st, and Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, MO(1998). The Bryan Band received the Most Outstanding Performing Ensemble at the Music in the Parks Minneapolis Festival. During the '00-'01 and '02-'03 school year, the Bryan band performed at the Nebraska State Concert Band Festival. The Bryan Band purchased new uniforms during the 2001-2002 school year.
Bryan High School Band commissioned two compositions. The first, Entebbe Variations, by composer Keith Davis, is published by Wengert Jones Music. It has been performed by the US Air Force Heartland of America Band, The Nebraska Wind Symphony and the Southwest Texas State University Band. Above All Others, by composer Dr. Joel Phillips, has been performed by the University of Nebraska at Omaha Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
The Bryan High School Orchestra performs at the Winter and Spring Concert, OPS Orchestra Adjudication and District Music Contest. The Orchestra is consistantly successful at contests receiving "Superior" ratings at the 2005, 2006 and 2007 District II Music Contests. The Bryan Orchestra is the only OPS orchestra to have received a "Superior" rating at the 2005 and 2006 contest. The 2005 NSAA District II Music Contest marked the first "Superior" rating in the history of the ensemble. The Bryan Orchestra has participated in the Omaha Symphony's Music Mentors Program and performed with members of the Omaha Symphony.
