Guidance Program
The purpose of the Bryan High School Comprehensive Competency-Based Guidance and Counseling Program is to provide a system designed to assist all students with the development and attainment of their educational, career, and personal goals. Guidance program goals are related to three development areas:
- Academic Achievement and Educational Planning
- Career Exploration and Planning
- Personal and Social Development
Guidance Curriculum - Student outcomes are developmental and standard district-wide. However, activities used to deliver the curriculum vary to allow for the uniqueness of Bryan, individuality of counselor styles, and student needs.
Program Management - Students are accessed by counselor specialization, student request, or alphabetical assignment. Each counselor specializes in one of the following domains: Academic Development; Personal/Social; and Career/Occupational, Academic Recores, and Advanced Education.
Scholarship Information - Scholarship information for seniors is provided by the Guidance Department. Also, note cards with scholarship information can be found in the Guidance Center on the scholarship bulletin board.
