Courses

At Bryan High School we utilize a four period day, four semesters a year schedule. Most courses are two semesters in length. A few courses occur for the entire year.

Military Science Content Standards:
Students will learn the following:

1. Leadership and patriotism
2. The sense of moral responsibility to live as decent and law-abiding citizens
3. Strength of character
4. Self-discipline
5. Responsibility and mature attitude toward constituted authority
6. The ability to think logically and make sound decisions
7. An appreciation of the value of physical and mental fitness
8. The debilitating effects of delinquent and illegal drug use
9. Basic skills necessary to work effectively as a team member
10. Motivation and skills needed to graduate from high school and succeed in life
11. Knowledge of educational and vocational opportunities
12. Understanding of the role of the citizen soldier in a democratic society
13. A knowledge of the history, purpose, and structure of the military service
