Courses

At Bryan High School we utilize a four period day, four semesters a year schedule. Most courses are two semesters in length. A few courses occur for the entire year.
Military Science Content Standards:
Students will learn the following:
- Leadership and patriotism
- The sense of moral responsibility to live as decent and law-abiding citizens
- Strength of character
- Self-discipline
- Responsibility and mature attitude toward constituted authority
- The ability to think logically and make sound decisions
- An appreciation of the value of physical and mental fitness
- The debilitating effects of delinquent and illegal drug use
- Basic skills necessary to work effectively as a team member
- Motivation and skills needed to graduate from high school and succeed in life
- Knowledge of educational and vocational opportunities
- Understanding of the role of the citizen soldier in a democratic society
- A knowledge of the history, purpose, and structure of the military service

- JROTC 1-2
- JROTC 3-4
- JROTC 5-6
- JROTC 7-8 (all year)
- JROTC 7-8 honors (all year)
- Marksmanship (all year)
