What happens when you take the sci-fi, over the top irony of the 1950’s and combines it with the 3-D sensibility of the 21st Century? You get Monsters vs. Aliens!
Monsters vs. Aliens is about a girl, Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon), who gets hit by a meteor on her wedding day which later causes her to turn into a 50-foot monster. After her arrest by the government because of her extremely hugeness and scariness, she is put in a jail-like cell along with many other monsters. There, she meets the B.O.B. (Seth Rogen), Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), and the missing link (Will Arnett). With their special abilities combine, they are on a mission to save Earth from the evil alien, Galaxhar (Rainn Wilson) from taking over.
This movie is fun for the whole family, while maintaining jokes that only adults and teenagers would understand and laugh at. It will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. With its hilarious scenes of B.O.B. acting like a total beast, you won’t want to get out of your seat.
