“Whoa! What is that?”
“That sir is a Death Knight.”
“Death Knight?”
“Yes sir. They are the newest world of warcraft class being officially released on November 13, 2008; They are virtually indestructible and very beasty. Everyone that is anyone has one.”
“Cool! How can I get one?”
In order to obtain a Death Knight, a person must have a character over the level of 55 on their account. But the flip side to that? The Death Knight starts out at level 55 instead of level 1, like all of the other characters. Each race can be a Death Knight. For example, I have a Night Elf Death Night, Butterbuns, level 70 on the Zangarmarsh realm, which is my new main! Also, only one Death Knight is allowed per realm with a person having up to four realms per server.

Since the release of “The Wrath of the Lich King,” Death Knights have been running around taking all of the realms by storm.
The Death Knights have three specs, or talents, to choose from; Blood, Frost, and Unholy. Blood Death Knights focus on weapons, armor, and strikes. Frost Death Knights focus on control, counterattacks, and combos. Unholy Death Knights focus on spells, summons, and diseases. I personally am a Blood Death Knight, so I am pretty much impossible to kill. Every single attack that I can do regenerates some amount of health.
The Death Knights can own on just about every level.
Raiding? Just get two Death Knights; one for DPS (Damage Per Second) and one for tanking and you’re all good to go. You’ll need a healer to heal the Death Knight during each battle.
Weapons? They can use about any weapon, but I use a sword because for one, they are much faster to swing, and two, they cause more damage. Plus, they look so much cooler!
Armor? They can wear any kind of armor whether it is cloth, leather, mail, or plate. I suggest plate just because you will be more protected and the stats are amazing.
Damage? Well, where do I even begin? Death Knights can do melee fighting (which is up close and personal) and they also can do frost and shadow spell damage for the ultimate fighting experience.
Mounts? HA! Death Knights get a free mount called a Archerus Deathcharger. All they have to do is go steal a horse for a mission “Grand Theft Palamino,” take it back to Salanar the Horseman and he turns it into a mount for you to ride around on. Pretty wicked with all of your Death Knight armor on.
There are, of course, some drawbacks to the Death Knights. For one, they cannot use shields like a warrior or a paladin can. They also cannot use ranged weapons such as crossbows and guns.
Instead of using mana, rage, or energy, Death Knights use Runic Power. The bad thing? You have to rely on those to regenerate before you can use them again, which takes about ten seconds per rune.
Oh, and did I mention that Death Knights get training for new spells every time they level up? They also have ghouls that they can have fight with them, and with a talent tree of theirs, the minion can be a permanent helper.
The only challenge I see for the Death Knights is getting to level 80. Starting out at level 55 is a big advantage but getting to level 80 is just as hard. I’ve had the expansion since November 13, 2008 and all that I have to show is getting to level 70.
Soloing is not an issue for me. I mean, I can take on gold dragon elites 2 or 3 levels above me and live because I can regenerate health. The average time it takes me to kill a humanoid or a beast is ten seconds. Beasty!
Death Knights are the new rogues, warriors, shamans, and mages with their tanking and DPS skills. Sure, the other classes are just as important but like I said before, Death Knights have taken over and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

They are the ultimate character. Everyone MUST have one. I don’t care if you have a character that needs to get to level 80, stop what you are doing and level that Death Knight up now! You will fall into love with your cartoon superhero. (superhero as in warcraft character)
