The Benson Gazette, our high school newspaper, will be published bi-monthly and have more information than ever before.  The unique community focus will establish the Benson Gazette within the Benson community and we'll have more timely coverage than in the past. 

The yearbook, the Benson Cupola, will also be much-improved.  We are finally an ALL-COLOR book, which means every single page will be designed with a sophisticated, colorful touch. 

The staff of both publications are excited to bring you news about Benson opening as a magnet school.  This historic event will be covered in both publications, so be sure to keep an eye open for our publications.

If you purchased a yearbook this year, you will be able to pick up one signature book to have your friends sign.  This book, designed by Nora Baumgartner, is all-color, and a fantastic-looking peek into the design of this year's yearbook.  Anyone purchasing a book this year will receive a signature book FREE!  Quantities are limited, however, and the only way to make sure you receive a copy is to buy a yearbook soon!

The staff of the Benson Gazette will be travelling to the University of Nebraska at Omaha for the High School Journalism Contest on April 19.  This is the second consecutive year the staff has won awards at this event.  Students entered stories, layouts, and photography in many different categories, ranging from features to hard news.  The class will be gone from noon until the end of the school day for the event.
