9th Grade Success Strategies - Computer technology experience, equal to 1 semester per year - Career and Personal/Social Development	Advanced Placement - Many advanced placement programs are offered at Benson High, including chemistry, biology, calculus, English and history
Computers - 400 + computers, a 1/5 ratio - 7 computer labs, 3 mini labs -17 different computer courses to choose from - Computerized Graphic Arts Program - Student Access to the Internet - Over 20 math computer programs are available to students to learn concepts - A nationally recognized Web site.	Visual Communication and Design Program - Designed to focus on students interested in pursuing a career in commercial art and/or graphic design. A grant was recently awarded to the Art Department for this purpose. Twenty-four Macintosh computers, peripherals, hardware, and a variety of software have been purchased. The Visual Education and Design Program emphasizes development of job-related skills required in the commercial art field, and student opportunities to explore these careers through field trips, job shadowing experiences and job internships.
