Magnet programs offer specialized curriculum and increased resources in a specific area. Our magnet program offers an exciting, dynamic and challenging curriculum in four specific areas:

• Engineering Technology

• Mathematics

• Science

• Implementation of Technology

North's magnet program has been honored with the 2007 Magnet School of Excellence award from the Magnet Schools of America.

Magnet Open House

You and your parents are invited to our Open House to be held on January 25, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. During our open house, you will be given a guided tour of the building, have the opportunity to ask questions of current students, parents and staff. At each stop of the tour, staff and/or students will discuss the programs available to you, offering insight into what makes North unique in the Omaha Public Schools. We encourage you to not only attend our Open House but also those of other high schools of interest to you. Making your decision on the next four years is an important one. Take the time to make the right decision.

School Visits

During the months of December & January, OPS middle school students have the opportunity of visiting Omaha North during the school day for a supervised tour. Middle school student selection is determined by the middle school. The schedule for 2007-2008 will be posted when available
