Math-a-thon Event helps Saint Jude Hospital fight childhood cancer one math problem at a time.

 

 

 

On Thursday, February 12th, 39 Skinner Magnet Center students in grades 2nd through 6th took part in a Math-a-thon event and earned almost $500 that was contributed to Saint Jude Hospital.

 

 

Image of Students Participating in Mathathon.Saint Jude Hospital is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.

 

 

Image of Student working in Mathathon Booklet.The students found sponsors who pledged to donate based on the amount of math problems they completed or pledged to donate a flat amount. Math-A-Thon provided Funbook for each grade level with math problems for students to complete.
