Skinner Elementary - Omaha Public Schools

Greetings!!

Welcome to Mrs.Kabat's (formerly known as Miss Jensen's) Kindergarten Website!

You will find many great and usable things on this page to help your Kindergartner throughout the year! Start clicking on the links to the right whenever you are ready to learn!!

The purpose of my website is to:

*Provide more learning opportunities for your Kindergartner to use at home and other times when not at school (for example other times would include - three day weekends, holiday breaks, snow days, and throughout the summer time)

*Provide useful and educational websites for you to use with your Kindergartener.

*Provide useful games/tools/worksheets to do at home to help your Kindergartener meet their ultimate potential.

*Build a technology bridge from school to home in mastering all Kindergarten standards and objectives through the Omaha Public School.

I believe that...

  • All children can learn.
  • It is important to me to continue my education (through graduate school and professional development) in all areas to better myself in educating all of my students.
  • Children are open books
  • Kindergarten is the pivotal and most important grade in which the values of education and learning occurs.
  • Each of my students' education and well being are my responsibility.
  • All of my students are important and special to be because I learn more from them than they learn from me.
  • Teaching is the most rewarding career
  • "A teacher effects eternity....he never knows where her influence ends." -anon.
  • Telling children they are special and showing they are cared for is essential in my teaching
