Welcome to Caringville

Greetings!  Welcome to Caringville, the classroom where caring and learning go hand in hand.  First grade is an exciting year and I look forward to working with your family as your child grows and learns.  If you should ever have any questions please feel free to contact me.  The school's phone number is 453-6857.  You can also e-mail me at .

 About Me

I am going on my 16th year of teaching here in Omaha Public Schools.  I started teaching kindergarten in 1992 at Kellom Elementary.  One year later I moved to the old Druid Hill.  I then moved to Skinner when it opened and continued to teach kindergarten until three years ago.   That is when I "graduated" to first grade. Though I loved teaching kindergarten I wanted to see what it was like in first grade so when the chance came up to teach first grade I took it.  I am sure glad that I did.  First grade is definitely exciting.

When I am not teaching I am spending time with my family.  I am married and have two young daughters and a pesky dog named Bleu.  I enjoy reading, photograpy and playing with my daughters.  During college basketball season I love to watch my team, the Kansas Jayhawks.  Rock Chalk Jayhawk, KU!

Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful students and their families and I am looking forward to working with you.   Together we can make this first grade year special!
