Skinner Elementary - Omaha Public Schools

Principal's Greeting
Minimize

The staff at Skinner Magnet Center will provide a learning environment that allows each
student to develop his or her academic and moral potential. The school will strive to
promote a genuine appreciation of human worth and dignity, as well as creating an
atmosphere where one’s contributions are recognized and rewarded.

It will be a continuing aim of the Skinner Magnet Center staff to foster patriotism,
respect for home and family, and pride in one’s cultural heritage. Youngsters will
be continually asked to accept responsibility for their actions and encouraged to
use sound judgement in making decisions appropriate for their age levels. Truth
and honesty will be priorities in character development.

The underlying goal of Skinner Magnet Center is that students will be provided an
opportunity to explore new ideas at the same time they apply basic learning skills
to new kinds of problems. These tools are becoming more important than ever as
we move further into the age of technology!
