Burger King Family Nights

Burger King night is once a month at the BK on 99th & Blair High Road (Irvington Exit). This night is a fundraiser for P.T.A. Prairie Wind receives a portion of the sales during the dinner hours 5 - 7 p.m. You must place the receipt in a specially labeled box on the counter. Drive-thru can also ask to have their receipt put in the box.

Fundraisers

Fundraisers are the way PTA funds the many activities that help us improve education, health, safety and well-being of all students at our school. Some of the ways the monies have been used in the past is to buy items to help our school stay current in the area of technology such as computer, software, printers, scanner, etc., pay for a field trip for every student, help bring other special programs/materials to enhance the students learning experience.

Scholastic Book Fair

The first fair this year is during parent-teacher conferences. Volunteers are needed to help run this book fair. Please contact Prairie Wind Office for more information on the Volunteer Schedule.

The next book fair is scheduled  during parent-teacher conferences in the spring. Then we have a "Buy-one-get-one- free" Scholastic Book Fair at the end of the school year.

Scholastic Pictures

Individual school pictures were taken by Scholastic on a Monday in October and this school year's class pictures will be taken sometime in February. PTA volunteers help coordinate picture days by getting classes to their picture slot on time, taking money from the students who wish to purchase pictures and handling questions parents, teachers or students may have about pictures and then handing out the pictures to the classrooms when they arrive back at Prairie Wind.
