- As we begin another school year at Prairie Wind Elementary, I would like to take a moment to introduce you to the Prairie Wind Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  The PTA is a wonderful organization that benefits the entire Prairie Wind Community.  Our primary goal is the continued enhancement of the educational environment for the entire student body as well as the staff here at Prairie Wind.  Through fund-raisers and various activities, Prairie Wind’s PTA has raised money for equipment and programs, such as Field trips for all classrooms, Character Rocks Assemblies, New TV’s and DVD/VCR’s, the Computer Lab, Safety Patrol vests and ponchos, Playground equipment, Landscaping for the front of the school, and Books for the library.  But our organization would not be a success if it were not for the dedication and commitment from people like you!
 
All are welcome at our PTA meetings.  Only PTA members are allowed to vote.  Our PTA meetings are the second Monday of each month at 7pm in the Library.  Please consider joining us each month at our meetings as we discuss the current and upcoming events at our school. We are looking forward to working work together to create and enjoy many exciting and new opportunities at Prairie Wind. The dates for the PTA Meetings for 2008-2009 are currently scheduled for:

Volunteers Needed Immediately!!! The PTA needs volunteers to work with the fund raising committee in September on the Fund Raiser of the 2009 school year! Volunteers are needed to help work with the student kickoff party, prepare and distribute flyers and announcements regarding the fundraiser information. Other activities on the committee with include collecting and turning in order forms and handing out the ordered products on the delivery date.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you would be interested in volunteering on the Fund Raising Committee!!! Call Crystal or Beverly at 491-0859 or email us at bremmly@hotmail.com.
