Our Mission: Prairie Wind Elementary School is a diverse partnership of students, staff, parents, and community committed to: fostering each child’s full academic potential, building each child’s self-esteem, and empowering each child to become a responsible, respectful and contributing citizen.

Prairie Wind Elementary School first opened its doors in August, 1994, with 463 students. The school is located at 10908 Ellison Avenue, and serves the students in the northwest region of Omaha, Nebraska. We serve approximately 815 students, ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. We currently have a staff of nearly 70 people serving our students.
Prairie Wind has a staff dedicated to opening the doors of opportunity for student success through the highest standards in academics and citizenship.
