General Information

Student Absences and Tardies

- The tardy bell rings at 8:55 a.m.  The students must be in their room when the bell rings or they will be sent to the office for a tardy slip.

- Parents are requested to telephone the office at 491-0859, or leave a message on the recorder, to inform the school if your child is going to be absent or tardy.  Please call before 9:00 a.m. so we are not worring about your child.  We also request that you send a note if you know ahead of time if your child will be out of school for any reason.

-Any child that is signed out from thier school day for a period of less than 1 1/2 hours is recorded as a tardy.  Any child that is signed out from their school day for a period of more than 1 1/2 hours in the AM or PM is recorded as a half day absence.  We want all parents to be aware of these changes so as not to surprise at report card time.

-Teachers begin instruction immediately and students entering late not only miss this important part of the day, but they are also an interruption for other students.  Thank you for your understanding.
