Wow! I can't believe how fast the year is flying by. We are well into our daily routine and the kids could probably run the day themselves. With programs like Daily Five and Writer's Workshop it is easy for the students to know what to expect of their day.

     Now that we are into November we have the Holiday season among us.We often learn about many different holidays from many different cultures. Kids like to discover the many diffrent holiday customs and how they are important to that culture.

     Please remember to check your child's assignment notebook for nightly homework. I keep it simple because I know families are busy. It is important to start developing good study habits now. Students should read 20 minutes each night and then record it on their Book-It sheet. I had seven students out of 15 turn their sheet in for October. Let's do better for November.
