AWESOME! Our first quarter of school was awesome! We did a lot of testing, a lot of learning, and a lot of team building.
Now it's time to plan our world tour! We will visit a few United States landmarks and then it's off to Brazil. We are excited to compare and contrast the various cultures from around the world.
We have successfully completed our science weather unit. We are now digging into our earth science unit. We are learning about earth-materials, man-made materials, and the effects of weather and temperature on rocks and soil.
Can you believe that the 2nd graders are already learning about addition and subtraction with regrouping!! We are also learning about measurement. We can't wait to have our annual car race at the end of the unit!
Parents and family members are always welcome to visit our classroom. The multiage classroom is truly an amazing learning environment! Students work independently while the teacher works with students in small groups. Students are assessed and taught on their individual level at their own pace. Students set quarterly goals and monitor their own progress in Student Data Notebooks. Students are engaged and active participants in their learning!
