Thank you for your interest in learning about Pinewood Elementary. Pinewood has built its reputation as an exemplary school over the past three decades, and we are committed to providing each student with a quality education in a multi-age setting.

Pinewood has a student enrollment of approximately 300 students who are enrolled in multi-age classrooms of PreKindergarten/Kindergarten, Grades 1/2, Grades 3/4, and Grades 5/6.  The teachers and staff are dedicated professionals who work together to challenge each student to reach their greatest potential in a positive and safe learning environment.

Parent involvement is key to the success of our students.  We are fortunate to have a very active PTA which assists us throughout the school year by supporting our field trips and other special events.  We encourage parents to become involved with the Pinewood PTA and  to volunteer at school.  Grade level teams and individual classrooms organize “Family Nights” with teachers, students, and their families, which helps to develop a “family community of learners.” 

Pinewood School is a team of staff, students, parents, and community working together to teach students to become high achievers, life-long learners, and responsible citizens. We were honored in 2006 as a U.S. Department of Education "Blue Ribbon" School, which is a true validation of our efforts to provide a high quality education in a multi-age setting.
