Hello, I am Sandy Bredfeldt, the principal of Pawnee Elementary School. Here are some facts about our wonderful school:
The staff, students, and parents welcome you to Pawnee Elementary School's Home Page via the World Wide Web! As you explore our Home Page you will learn about our school, our accomplishments, and our dreams for the future.
Pawnee opened in 1966 on a sixteen-acre site in Sarpy County. In 1977, a six- room addition was added. The Pawnee mission statement calls for a positive learning environment that allows each student to develop his/her academic potential. The school strives to promote a genuine appreciation of human worth and dignity as well as create an atmosphere where one's contributions are recognized and rewarded.
Pawnee is a school strengthened by its diversity. We currently serve approximately 580 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our staff works in partnership with parents and the community with a common goal of striving for excellence in teaching our children. Programs which assist us in meeting the needs of our students include: English as a Second Language, Reading Services, Special Education, PAC Room, Gifted Program, Resource Program and a full time school counselor.
At Pawnee Elementary we believe all students can learn. Our staff is a team of dedicated, knowledgeable and creative professionals who strive for excellence in teaching our children. We are very proud of the "intentionally inviting" environment we have created and our continuing tradition of excellence. We invite you to learn more about us though our Web Page. Feel free to contact us by mail, phone, or email. And if you are in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by for a visit.
Vice-Principal: Mr. Gary Westbrook
