 History

Pawnee Elementary School is located at 7310 S 48th St. Pawnee opened in 1966 on a sixteen-acre site in Sarpy County. In 1977, a six- room addition was added. Pawnee is home to approximately 620 students in grades K-6. Pawnee has a diverse student body with approximately 20% of our students enrolled in the ESL program. Each teacher received 30 hours of specialized ESL training. The Pawnee mission statement calls for a positive learning environment that allows each student to develop his/her academic potential. The school strives to promote a genuine appreciation of human worth and dignity as well as create an atmosphere where one's contributions are recognized and rewarded. Pawnee boasts a very active Parent-Teacher Association. Pawnee's Adopt-A-School partners include: Nebraska Health Services, Bag and Save, and the Bellevue Leader.
