Cleaning Tips

 

Sometimes through the creative process our little artists accidentally wear some of their artwork home.

 

Here are come cleaning tips that should aid in stain removal:

 

Tempera Paint or Watercolor Paint	1.     Soak the spot in cold water 2.     Hand scrub with soap 3.     Wash with detergent as usual 4.     Spot off cleaners may also help
Permanent Marker	Marker on skin will come off with soap.  On clothing these marks may never entirely disappear.  Solvents such as Turpentine or paint thinner may work, but may also cause further damage.
Clay	1.     Allow clay to dry 2.     Brush away dried clay from fabric 3.     Wash with soap in the usual manner

 

Students are always welcome to bring a smock or old tee-shirt for class.  Please inform your classroom teacher that these items will be kept in the student's locker and should be brought for class.
