This is my first year as a 6th grade teacher.  For the previous 7 years I have taught 5th grade here at Howard Kennedy.  The change has been a challenge, but I have enjoyed the switch.  Approximately half of the students I had last year are with me again (lucky kids!)  

 

We have successfully completed our algebra crt, with all students receiving a proficient or advanced.  Our current heavy-duty project is a research paper on the Provinces of Canada.  These students love to do research!  They are excited to take the keyboarding class that will begin in January.

 

This year's 6th graders are enthusiastic about All Our Kids.....a program through Winner's Circle that supports the sixth graders from now until they graduate and on through college!
