Community Learning Center is a grant program at Howard Kennedy Elementary School.  The goal of Omaha's Community Learning Centers is to provide safe and secure after-school and summer academic and enrichment programming, for all youth in need of such activities.  Our Community Learning Center also offer families a feeling of connectiveness with their neighborhoods by providing a variety of family involvement activities such as adult education and support classes, a center for community services, and a year round meeting place.  The services provided by Howard Kennedy's Community Learning Center are targeted toward the needs of our students, family and community.  This benefits communities by providing access to resources, and support to and for families.  They keep more youth from getting into trouble after school and decrease the academic gap performance in various socioeconomic and ethnic groups.
